Creative Café Wedding

Tuesday evenings
From 17:30 to 21:00

@ Restaurant Saray (Back room)
MüllerStraße 41, 13353 Berlin

Come when you can, leave when you must; just bring your own project, ideas, and supplies with you!

Our in-person meetups in Wedding are very relaxed events usually with between 6 and 14 attendees of diverse ages, origins, and backgrounds. No RSVP necessary! We primarily speak German and English, but (depending who is there) other languages are also spoken from time to time; anyone who shares a love of crafting is welcome. I am personally not a native German speaker, so this meetup has been SO helpful for me gaining confidence to speak German.

We’ve been meeting in a cozy café weekly since March of 2021. Every week, I (or someone else if I’m sick / out of town) will be at the café by 17:30, but everyone arrives when it suits them best, so don’t feel shy about approaching someone you see with a crafting project! Currently, we have been sitting at the very back of the café where we have the most flexibility to expand our table as needed.

Café MADO has great light and very comfortable (size-inclusive) seating and the service is amazing. They have many savory and sweet options of food, beverages, and snacks available at a range of price points. Unfortunately, the café is not pet-friendly. This page will be updated if anything changes, but you can get reminders for your personal calendar, or RSVP for updates via Nebenan as well.

You’ll always find us within reasonable walking distance of U-Bahnhof Seestraße (U6). Our current café is accessible by Train: U6 & U9, by Tram: M13, M50, and by Bus: 106, 120, 142, 147, 221, 247, 327, N6, N9, N20, & N26 — with some stops just around the corner and others ~5minute walk away.

♿️ Note: There is unfortunately one a step up into the café itself, but the toilets are on the same floor—if you need support accessing the café, I or the staff is happy to help!

U-Seestraße has a split platform so that one only has access a lift on the side of the train in direction Tegel, so if you need the lift and are coming to the event in the direction of Alt Mariendorf, the easiest option will be to take the train one more station (Leopoldplatz), and then take the next train back to Seestraße. Luckily, the lift there is less than 100 meters from our café. Alternatively, Leopoldplatz also has a lift.
